Our unique development of only eight zero-carbon homes has now received Planning Approval.

We have focussed on delivery of a Sustainable Living custom build development.

Set in the beautiful Somerset countryside, on the outskirts of Langport, Diggersfield is approached by a tree-lined avenue, opening out onto this small, carefully planned cluster of houses.

The houses are being delivered on an individual self-build basis. The design includes an integral low energy design strategy keeping your utility bills to a minimum. To achieve this, the dwellings are to be designed and constructed to the Passivhaus Low Eneergy Standard, using timber frame construction and natural insulation.

The base dwelling design offers two bedrooms, wtih an open plan Living/Kitchen/Dining Room with a vaulted ceiling. Built in flexibility allows for a first floor attic to be easily completed as an additional one or two bedrooms, providing a mezzanine overlooking the living space.

Sustainability doesn't end with with low energy use.

Each property has a private garden, along with communal spaces and play areas to allow the residents to share space. As part of the Sustainable Living approach, an area of ground is to be set aside for an organic orchard and growing space to allow the development to take a further step towards self-sustaining, sustainable living, and to assist with the development of the community aspect to the proposal.
